Alongside the revival work, the bench takes private commissions — original compositions built from a brief rather than reconstructed from an archive. One person, one room, one anniversary, one house.
The formula is yours. It is recorded, numbered, and kept on file, so a bottle made today can be made again in ten years.

Six briefs cover most of what comes through the door. If yours isn't here, describe it anyway.

Weddings & unions
A scent for the day itself, or a run of small bottles for the wedding party. Most couples commission both — one to wear, one to give.

Birthdays & milestones
Built around a memory rather than a note list. A childhood garden, a first apartment, a place someone hasn't been back to in thirty years.

Corporate gifting
Client and executive gifts in runs from twenty-five bottles upward, with your own labelling and packaging. Formula held for reorders.

Hospitality & retail
A house signature for a hotel, showroom, or restaurant — supplied as fine fragrance, diffuser concentrate, or both from the same accord.

Remembrance
Reconstructions of what someone wore, when the original is gone and no bottle survives. Handled quietly, and with the time it deserves.

For people who have stopped finding anything they want to wear. The longest process here, and the one with the most revisions.
How it runs
Five stages, in order
Nothing moves to the next stage until you've signed off on the one before it.

Consultation
A conversation, by call or in writing. What you wear now, what you've worn, what you've hated. Roughly an hour.

The brief
We write the brief back to you in plain language and confirm direction, materials, concentration, and quantity before any bench time is booked.

First accord
Two or three directions are drafted and sent as 5 ml trials. You live with them for a fortnight — skin over several days tells you more than a strip.

Revisions
Two rounds are included. Notes come back, the formula is adjusted, new trials are sent. Further rounds are billed at the hourly bench rate.

Maceration & delivery
The approved formula is compounded, macerated four to six weeks, filtered, and bottled. The formula card is archived under your commission number.

Plain terms
- Commissions from
- $750 Covers consultation, two revision rounds, and the first 50 ml. Materials are quoted separately where a brief calls for naturals at cost.
- Typical lead time
- 8–14 weeks Maceration sets the floor and cannot be shortened without cost to the result. Tell us your date and we'll say honestly whether it's possible.
- Formula ownership
- Archived, reorderable Your formula is kept under a commission number and never reused for another client. Reorders are quoted at materials plus compounding.
- Deposit
- Half at brief The balance falls due on approval of the final trial, before compounding begins. Deposits cover bench time and are not refundable.
